Re: Good Health to All

Amen to that Jesse . . .

Stay remote and stay safe seems to be the message of the moment.

Re: Edit old FusiionZone message links to work in this Forum

Indeed Jesse - I've been doing so as I've come across them . . . .

Correcting them ALL though, seems a daunting prospect.

Re: Too Many Sounds?

yeah . . . Jesse is perfectly correct . . . .It's bizarre, but true . . . as far as Midi is concerned, it's 1-128 (or 0-127 whichever nomenclature you're used to) IIRC, Joeri's VStream_02 bank has MANY more that 128 programs . . . . . (Perhaps MovinPro is the same - I don't remember) As Jesse says -...

Re: Holy Grail piano out of tune?

To me the HG piano sounds out of tune. I concur to a degree . . . . . Try and play these octaves: (C3 = middle C) G0-G1 C1-C2 G1-G2 C2-C3 G2-G3 So far, so good. Those sound OK to me . . . . From now on, things start going wrong: C3-C4 and D3-D4 sound slightly weird Those sound OK to me E3-E4...

Re: The SSD (Holy Grail) can finally be YOURS !

Glad you got it working finally Drummond . . . . :D It's a reminder that the Fusion is what it is (set in stone, so to speak) - so additions require some thought if they are to work  So now you have a quieter and possibly cooler Fusion  64Gb is masses of Space . . . . I wonder if anyone h...

Re: Importing analog and fm patches

My Fusion is fully dedicated to a Pink Floyd tribute band and it's the main instrument. Almost all sounds and backing tracks come from the Fusion (except for a few piano and organ patches that I play on a Kurzweil stage keyboard). Maybe one of these days I'll upload a video showing how perfectly th...

Re: Hi - Muuzo from UK

Welcome to the Forums Muuzo . . . . The Fusion REMAINS a GREAT, well-specified, board, even today. Only the Kronos has more "Engines" . . . I bought both my Fusions off ebay . . . They were both "unexpanded" which I rectified . . . . There is a good depth of knowledge in here concerning the (usually...

Re: Alesis Fusion Basic Key Types and Replacement Keys

THAT is good news Jesse . . . . . I mean . . . REALLY! - WHY would anyone want to reinvent a wheel that is already made? . . . . Worthy of note, is the fact that there is a wrong and right way round when fitting them - (although they look symmetrical and reversible . . ) They're NOT. There is a slig...

Re: Fusion 8HD Service Centers

These days, Alesis, and indeed Akai are handled by InMusic® . . . . .

You could try asking tabout Service Centres from Them?

The Akai MPC5000 does share a number of parts with the Fusion which are common to both devices . . . .

Maybe that helps?

Re: Fusion 6HD For Sale

You may find that if you squirt some switch cleaner inside the pot cases and give the knobs a good work-out . . . .

That is all you need to do . . . .?

Something like this . . . . . .

Re: Alesis Fusion Basic Key Types and Replacement Keys

All in all, that's rather disappointing. It would help, if manufacturers used Part numbers - and everybody USED them to identify items. Asking Alesis (InMusic?) is probably a non starter as they compound the problem by allocating THEIR OWN Part Numbers, instead of simply saying "Fatar part no nnnnnn...

Re: Fusion 8HD randomly switches to another patch and locks up

Hi Kurt . . . I would personally doubt that the Pedals are causing this, however <Jesse> is correct, they must be plugged in BEFORE you power on for the Fusion to be aware of them (properly). . . You don't say if your OS is 1.24? (the last one). Definitely a good idea to update to 1.24, if not - and...

Re: Replacement battery for Alesis Fusion

Hi <moses2>, If you have basic soldering skills this is not difficult to do . . . . The Fusion's Battery is a Panasonic BR 2825, but this refers to the direct REPLACEMENT (with tags) . . . . I would suggest fitting a 2032 SOCKET . . . . . THEN you just need a standard 2032 coin cell which are freely...

Re: Alesis Fusion Basic Key Types and Replacement Keys

That sort of response is really shameful IMO . . . . Fatar make quality keybeds, as is borne out by the number of boards that USE them . . . I will NEVER understand companies putting up barriers to making money . . . . Perhaps this is WHY Yamaha decided to make their own keybeds? I hope they come to...

That's a well-composed request Jesse . . . let's hope it gets the response it deserves

The "66 key" is a typo . . . . I know you know the 6HD is 61 keys . . .
