Editing insight-copying/pasting etc.

I am surprised this caught me off-guard, I think I've had 1-2 other workstation sequencers that did this too.

I was recording a short 16-bar loop with bass, drums, piano intending to copy this 16-bar section. And this is where I was fooled. The Fusion has a resolution of 476 "ticks" per quarter note, which is good by any standard. However, when I recorded my 16 measures, I stopped recording at bar 16, beat 4, 383 ticks. I was using quantize for a change, maybe this is why I was able to stop short of the end of the final measure. Now when I tried to copy and paste these 16 bars into measure 17 beat 1, I could not. There is no easy way to add the remaining ticks to extend this last measure 16 to 476 although I don't think that would have solved the problem. The solution was simply to re-record-using overdub-on any of the tracks-to extend the recorded 16 measures to 17. Now I was able to copy directly to the top of measure 17. This is logical, but I guess I had another brain-fart. by the way, the Fusions still sound really nice-have added a few custom Ludwig and slingerland kit samples to the factory kits, makes a nice choice for percussion tracks. The M3 has a better assortment of organs and with its 8 faders does edge pout the Fusion a bit in that regard IMO, but throwing together a multi-track arrangement with the Fusion is actually quite easy, especially since I have thrown myself into the onboard sequencer editing functions. With the exception of the above....
