I will post some pics ASAP, but I have found a way to magnify the Fusion's display-a rather inelegant way but it works. Involves using my mini Akaso drone HD camera, a Fujitsu 13" Windows tablet and any video capture software. I used Bandicam and OBS Studio, but any video capture software will work-will recognize the Akaso or similar small video camera as a webcam, and suddenly, boom I have a 13" full screen view of the Fusion screen.
The downside is that these cameras at close range don't seem to focus super clearly-I think because these are designed more for distance widescreen viewing, but it is clear enough to read well enough. I am experimenting with a few other mini webcams to see if i can get a sharper image.
The other downside is creating a mount that is so unobtrusive as to not get in the way of the controls around the screen, as these types of cameras need to be 3-6 inches away from the Fusion's screen for a full-screen (rather huge) view.
I imagine any tablet could do this equally well, and with a variety of mini webcams, although video quality does vary-the Akaso is one of the more budget "Go-Pro" type cameras designed for video that works up close. I have tried a "Force-One" similar drone camera which should have worked identically when looking at specs-but even in webcam mode, it uses a wide-angle lens which does not work at close range.
Is this necessary? I don't really think so much, my Fusion LCDs have worked quite well for several years, and have good screen resolution-much better than the Korg M3 for example-but I thought it an interesting experiment-and yes for some of us with possible "compromised" eyesight, this might not be such a bad idea. I am not sure this will work with an Android or iPad platform tablet, but since the Fusion meshes with Windows anyway, and a used Fujitsu tablet with Windows 7 or 10 is relatively inexpensive-I paid 100.00 for a Q739 in excellent condition-thought this one might be one of the better solutions for this experiment.
