Yeah, I emailed Amanda I told her TSI was no longer in business so there are no known Alesis Service Centers on the East Coast and asked if I could be trained to use the Service Key, but I have not received any reply back
I try to avoid wire nuts and if I do use them I usually solder the wires together before using wire nuts or I splice them and use heat shrink tubing.
The Generator transfer switch is something that I take my time with wiring. I previously had a homeowner's permit to totally rewire my house in Williamsburg VA from a 60 amp to a 200 amp service and replace all the non grounded outlets with grounded outlets with a 100 branch circuit going out to the garage I built
I also hate the cheap outlets and wall switches that contractors usually install when they build new homes, I ended up replacing a wall switch in my son's old home that shorted out and came close to starting a fire. The electricians? tend to use the quick wire insert instead of the wire screw terminals, the screw terminals provide much better contact area and are much safer than the quick push in wire connection!
All we can do is try and hope for the best
